Property is fresh and clean and beautifully decorated. The room as lovely and had a forest view. However, the lounge did not open until 5:30 pm and there was a line to get in. Also, they were in charge of serving a limited menu as the dining room was closed. There were onlly 2 staff, and they were absolutely overwhelmed. People were getting rude and angry. One server completly disappeared for while. My burger was served overcooked and the fries were palatable. We were not part of the convention group staying there, but were looking forward to a nice dinner after a harrowing day at the hospital. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Check out was easy.

We are regular travelers to Chapel Hill and the triangle to see children and attend various events. Our stay at the Rizzo is consistently excellent, in terms of staff, property, cleanliness, excellence in rooms and a quiet retreat out of the pace and hectic mess of the triangle! We also have found room rates to be incredibly affordable unless it’s a graduation or ball game weekend. We will always be regulars at the Rizzo!

The hotel is beautiful with nicely manicured grounds. They do NOT have EV charging. The staff was nice. The main issue we had was the smell in our room. We were only there for one night so I did not ask to change rooms. It had a terrible old, musty smell. When we entered the room, the air conditioner was turned off so I am not sure if that was the issue but the smell never went away. I honestly thought it smelled like a dirty diaper. I searched the room and under the beds but never found the source of the smell. The toilet also immediately clogged when my child used it so I wonder if the room maybe flooded before and the smell was the carpet?

Beautiful property. Fantastic amenities - only thing is the pool was taken over by kids playing football. I don’t think they were even guests at the hotel so my kids and I couldn’t use the pool which was the main reason I booked the hotel.
