My partner and I stayed at Lovers Point Inn for two nights. Upon checking in, the staff was very friendly throughout the entire stay. We didn't take advantage of many of the amenities. However, we did take advantage of the parking. The outside parking is limited, so the inn offers a below-ground garage. We parked there several times The property is old. You can see that there have been some updates over the years. However, the property is maintained as well as an older property can be. The location cannot be beat! You're right next to Lovers Point, which was heavily used as we stayed during the July 4th holiday weekend. The room as well appointed and clean. My only concerns are that the room could use more outlets. I recommend bringing a long power strip for yourself. Also, like most solo or small inns, hotels, and motels in California, there isn't the most robust HVAC system. We didn't need any A/C during our visit. But I did utilize the tower fan that was provided. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. I would say they could improve some of the fixtures to a more modern look and better functionality. But this was a very comfortable stay. Again, for the location, it's an amazing find.

This resort arguably has one of the most spectacular views in Carmel. Unfortunately, our room had a very limited view, which was a huge disappointment. The room was not ready at 4:00 pm and we had to wait until nearly 6:00 to get into the room, however they were able to reverse the resort fee which was appreciated. The other issue was that the room reeked of smoke, so bad we could hardly breathe. Probably because the real wood fireplace had been used before us, but leaving behind the smoke is unacceptable. Other than this issue, the room was clean and quite large.

Fantastic views. Helpful staff. Terrific restaurant. Lovely common room with two fireplaces and live music. We’ll be back!

Very good location. Nice and clean room. But there is no breakfast

Quaint and charming. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Water pressure could be better, but I would guess the plumbing system is quite old. The staff was genuine and engaging. I was interested in some of the historic facts about the Mansion and they were eager to share and genuinely enthusiastic about where they were working. The breakfast was more than adequate and the 4:00 p.m. wine and charcuterie was a pleasant perk. There are nicer accommodations but the overall experience exceeded the price. I say two thumbs up.

This is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of an even more charming town, Carmel-by-the-Sea. While breakfast is only served starting at 8:30 AM, the premium quality makes it well worth the wait.

Our 5-day stay at the Kimpton Mirador was...fine. The biggest upside was that it allows for dogs of any size, so we weren't restricted by our 70lb dog. Overall, the building is very nice - well kept, lovely staff, nice room, etc. It's in a great location - close to the water as well as to the main street, and a 20ish minute walk from downtown Monterey. Where it lacked was the finer details. You're supposed to get champagne upon arrival, which the people in front of me were offered upon checking in but not me. The restaurant is expensive, but upon 2 visits, one for breakfast and one for dinner, was not worth it. At dinner we were seated immediately but then not brought water or asked after for 10-15 minutes, despite it not being a busy night. The waiter did acknowledge the wait, took orders, etc. I was served a salmon that, despite a very tasty base, was very undercooked, and by the time the waiter came back to check on us, it was too late to ask for it to be redone. We shared the tombo albacore tuna which at $52 was fine but not exceptional. You pay a daily amenity fee for valet service, as well as gym, beach bags, live music in the courtyard etc. The valet service was always prompt, but I asked for beach bags 3x in the mornings before leaving for the day, and was told there weren't any left. One thing that would have made this hotel a nicer experience is a hot tub. I do appreciate they do not advertise that they have one, but I feel that would be a better amenity

The rooms were clean and comfortable bed. Staff was very accommodating to our needs. Great, quiet location and easy to find. The only downside is using the stairs to go up to your room.
