Excellent hotel in excellent location. The street is noisy with trams every few minutes especially if you are on one of the first floors, but totally ok if you close the window.

The location of this property is very convenient. There are lots of tram and bus stops within 2-5 min walks from the hotel. It is also very close to the Old Town Square and popular attractions (20 mins by Tram).

This property is not a 4 star hotel. This hotel is old and rooms are average. Reception staff ( depending on who you meet) can be welcoming or rude. I needed a toothbrush and the mid-aged guy at the reception asked for $2, what kind of a hotel charges money for this basic amenities ? The only reason i am even giving a 2 star is for a courteous employee who helped us with our queries and was easy to talk to.

An Alternative to Downtown Prague Prices

This is our fourth trip to Prague and our third stay at the Belvedere. We just need a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay and are not looking for frills. We think the Trade Fair Palace (huge modern art museum with VanGoghs, Monets, Kupkas, Klimpts, etc.) is wonderful and only two or three blocks away. Hotel is just across river from old town and trams 17 and 26 take you there in about 3 or 4 stops. Nice Italian restaurant, San Carlo nearby as well as the Dim Sum Spot (small but very good) are within two blocks of hotel. Italian dinner with alcohol for under $50. What a buy the whole experience is.

Hotel was good, bed very comfortable and staff were really friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the city centre (about 25 min). We liked the breakfast buffet. Fresh brewed coffee, cakes and rolls. The minuses of our room: plug socket were hidden behind furniture (can't work on my laptop because these plugs were only next to the bed, behind night tables. Another minus is bathtub without curtain (bathroom get wet quickly).
