The property is beautiful and comfortable. Convenient location to walk to restaurants and bars nearby. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Couple of notes, when we left the elevators weren’t working and there was no sign or notification letting us know so we waited for quite some time. Then had to walk down 5 flights of stairs with our baggage.

We had a really good stay at The State Hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side, so I’d recommend being prepared for that when booking. That said, you simply cannot beat the location. Being right by Pike Place Market made exploring Seattle incredibly easy, and we loved being able to walk to so much. One thing to be aware of: if you book a city-view room, it can be very noisy at night. We heard street racers throughout the night, so light sleepers may want to request a quieter room or bring earplugs. Overall, a great boutique hotel with wonderful staff and an unbeatable location. Four stars!

Great location and entrance hall. However the hotel’s rooms are dated. Rooms were poorly designed with no shelf space, The hotel rooms didn’t come with basic amenities.

We really enjoyed our short time at this property. Beautiful surroundings and not far from town. I’d definitely go back again. If you have problems however with stairs, this isn’t the place/unit to stay in.
