We have been staying here at least twice a month to come visit family. We had really great experiences up until this last one. The only complaint we had before is that The night stands are not attached to the wall so if you’re in a wheelchair, do not touch the nightstand. They will come off the wall when you tell the office they just kinda say OK and you put it back on the wall. This last time, though we had reserved a handicap room with roll in shower as usual. Instead of telling us that the room we were usually staying in was trashed the night before they told us we were upgraded to poolside. When we got into the poolside room, my husband noticed there was a bathtub not a roll in the shower so he went and informed the front desk and they said oh the room that you were gonna get was trashed. It was so late at night. We could not go around looking for another hotel that had a roll in shower. When I informed expedia they reached out to the hotel and they claimed that they did not know my condition even though I’m there twice a month and have spoke to the staff numerous times I’m a large lady in a wheelchair. They claim they did not know me or anything about my condition. This was very disappointing. The manager refused a refund or credit toward our next stay. Just be aware if you’re in a wheelchair and you reserve a handicap room apparently they do not have to warn you that it is out of order and that you’re gonna be put in one that you cannot use the proper ammenities.
