Port Clyde Vacation Packages

The best thing about this property is the location. It is across the road from the water and within walking distance to restaurants, the Lighthouse Museum and park. The area was very quiet. Our room was adequate, however the bathroom was very small and our “partial view” of the water was because there was a door that went out to a balcony that was about 4 ft x 2 ft that was blocked by the roofs on both sides overlooking the parking lot so we had a view that was 3 ft wide. We could have used a room darkening curtain over this door because it let in a lot of light at night and yet only a narrow strip of light during the day. The air conditioning unit was also above that door with several bright blue lights. All that light prevented a good night sleep. The pool and hot tub were nicely heated, and no towels were provided. Our room keys did not work so the front desk person let us in. The sign said pool hours were 8 am - 8 pm, and the front desk person told us the pool closes at 7:45 pm. We got a 20% off voucher for the downstairs coffee shop and it was closed the morning that we checked out. There was not a water filling station, and the lady at the front desk did fill my bottle with ice and tap water. There was a nice looking sitting room facing the water. There was a nice little touch with a table with a jigsaw puzzle ongoing by the desk. So overall, an okay place to stay.

We never went to the breakfast but were glad that it was an option. The only negative thing was that it took an awful long time for hot water when it came time to shower. Other than that, it was a great stay.
