"Modern Country Chic"
I would describe this hotel as modern country chic and looks exactly like the hotels pictures. It was in a great location, off the beaten path. I wouldn't suggest trying to get there or around the area without gps (we used google maps). It is a very quiet and serene property. There were other guests staying at the property, but it remained quiet since most people go into Florence for the day. I would suggest checking out The Mall if you are into designer shopping. It is maybe 20 minutes away and is in another breath-taking location, even if you aren't into shopping.

" Mixed review for this hotel"
Excellent food here but a very small dated room without simple amenities such as kleenex, room clock, iron. Disappointing room compare to a 2-3 star hotel. Housekeeping even left the dirty coffe cups in the room and did not replace the coffee for the second day of stay, so there was none to be had in the room.Bath faucet could not achieve hot water, only lukewarm, but shower was fine. 4 start hotel only at lobby level.

"Centrally located great hotel in Arezzo"
Nine of us descended onto Arezzo for a wedding, requiring multiple rooms, convenience, parking, etc. Most of the staff at the Contenintale were very helpful and supportive, the rooms were very nice with small balconies overlooking the square and streets, great breakfast.

Had a wonderful time - very highly recommended. Stayed for a week in early September, great to relax and chill by the pool but also well situated and to get out in the car and explore Chianti.

Beautiful but remote location...kind of hard to find...would have loved to take the cooking class but a private class was in session when we arrived. Lovely friendly environment.Could use more signage for office, dining, parking. Lighting on path to apartment too little..Also advise travelers to use mosquito repellent...I had so many bites!! Truffle pasta and wild boar stew amazing...great and well priced wine! thank you . Great place for outdoor enthusiasts!!!

"Lovely quiet stay"
We stayed here for one night before heading to Bagno di Romagna to watch the Giro d'Italia. Camaldoli is an incredible place, with history and beautiful scenery. I can tell the Locanda sees a lot of traffic later in the summer, but it was nearly empty when we were there and therefore quiet and peaceful. The hotel is so charming and feels old, while still boasting updated facilities. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant is delicious. Would definitely stay again.

"Lovely place to stay but......."
The hotel building, grounds, pool and view are all fantastic but we were disappointed with the rooms. The building was originally an abbey so we weren't expecting massive rooms but the double we booked for 3 nights was tiny by any standards (we were given room 12, Lavanda). Although it had a double bed in it there was barely room to move around at all and in reality it was a small single room and should have been sold as such. We asked to be moved but were told that all of the rooms were the same size. The following morning we found this not to be the case when we looked into a room that was being cleaned and found it to be much bigger. We were then moved later that day to a bigger room but it seemed to be more due to the efforts of the cleaning lady rather than the management. Other than the room issue the hotel is very clean, good facilities and offers a great place to have a secluded break as it is situated way up on a hill in the woods away from "civilisation" but it's only a 15 minute drive down to Arezzo where there are plenty of restaurants and we were fortunate to find the jousting festival taking place. An unusual feature is the regular appearance of the wild boars that are quite happy to forage in the hotel grounds almost unaware of the guests! Although we didn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant, we had breakfast there and it was very good with plenty of choice. All in all a lovely place but the room problem soured the experience for us.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Poppi hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
