The aircon didn’t work and the tv didn’t work so had to seek help from staff. Both were fixed. We arrived during unseasonally cold weather so found the public areas uncomfortabley cold. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is housed in a historic old building but could do with a cosmetic facelift.

Upon arrival the room was not ready for us. We arrived at 10am to drop our bags saying that we would be back at 3pm for check in. The room was not clean and available to us until 4pm. The staff were blasé about any issues that we brought up, with not enough staff to work both the bar and hotel reception. The reception was always unattended, and we always had to wait for quite some time to be served. The aesthetics and conditions of the room were fine, although there was no fitted sheet and a chux wipe sticking out from a mattress hole for some reason. The most alarming thing was that the water from the bathroom tap was brown and unusable. At $200+ per night, water must be drinkable and clear, especially for a city like Perth. There are hotels and apartments with comparable prices all over the city that do not have these issues. We stayed in three hotels during our trip and this was by far the worst one. A good bar/kitchen, a poor hotel.

Was really good staying in a boutique hotel where we could dine with very affordable options then head upstairs to our room. The included breakfast was an added bonus. The negatives were the tv was glitchy, the bathroom very dark and parking of a high clearance van not easy in the area but we really enjoyed our stay 😀

Loved our stay. Suite was spacious and full of character, black marble bathroom with deep tub was luxurious (and one of the main reasons we booked it) and breakfast was great. Only 2 problems - no face washers in bathroom, and communication was awful - query via Expedia and on Facebook never received responses at all, and email query was only (partially) responded to over 2 weeks later, too late to be useful. Other than that, would recommend and will come again
