Only stayed for 1 night. We got to the property late and we self checked in, we were left forms for breakfast and filled them in. Beds were comfortable, owners were lovely and breakfast great. All around good stay!

The whole experience was wonderful. Food was spot on. Beverages hit the spot. The room was wonderful. Our time spent here gave us the break from our day to day grind. We left more relaxed than we have ever been on holiday. Just wonderful!

Absolutely stunning stay. Breakfast was lovely and so was the dinner we had. Definitely recommend booking a table. Bed was firm but comfortable and the shower was pretty good. I look forward to staying again

The single room and the bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was a really good size. There was plenty of storage space, and tea and coffee facilities were great. I ate in the restaurant for two nights and both my meals were delicious. Nikki is very welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.

Such a gem for easy access to Ullswater. Quick to get to as it's near Penrith so near motorways. 30 mins from Ambleside for more amenities. Need to know: they like to close at 9pm and the kitchen shuts at 8pm. Make sure you book for dinner and there's a form to fill out for the inclusive breakfast to be handed in by 9 or you'll miss it. If you miss it, Basecamp nearby does amazing breakfast and lunch + there's alpacas! The staff are very friendly, it's a family run pub, just need courteous and communicate, don't expect to rock up late or go for a boozy holiday because it's more set up for small groups and early bedtime to make the most of the lakes. We (couple) loved it and would stay again. Only downside was no fridge.
