Really cool conversion of the first city hall of Duluth into a boutique hotel. Our room was on the "first" floor (really the basement) without any windows, which was a little freaky at first. It was so quiet, we felt we were the only people in the building, even though there were several lounges/bars. We parked in the secure parking ramp across the street, which meant we were walking by a number of unhoused people with all of our luggage. There are NO actual staff on the premises, but the many texts that we received were sufficient in terms of checking in/out, and gaining access to the building and our rooms.

The top floor rotating restaurant was great. Good food and the ever changing views with the rotation was very special.

Really easy check-in instructions .. super house and grounds, great historical background - spotless! No staff on-site, as all arrangements were completed via email and text, but the one small question I had was quickly answered by the phone number included in the welcome info. Great experience- would certainly book again! 👍

Everything was exactly what you would expect for the price.

Extremely overpriced for how poorly maintained this property is. The air conditioner smelled like mold, the room was not very clean and didn’t smell good, it was the kind of place you don’t really feel comfortable taking you shoes off in, the pool area is decaying and the breakfast is just one functioning waffle maker and bags of hardboiled eggs, unlabeled and in a fridge. There was no date on them so I didn’t want to chance it. Would never stay again.
