Convenient location, can walk anywhere in town. Clean, although you must accept cats walking the common area furniture and friendly dogs at your feet…which is stated clearly in the overview, so not a surprise. 100+ year old house with character, but bedroom and shower is updated. Owner Mollie is friendly and has relevant local suggestions. Breakfast fills the plate, lots of fresh fruit, an egg dish, small amount of meat…likely very healthy. Recommend J. Petter art gallery and Saugatuck Antique Pavilion. Area seems like play area for people stuck in cities who want to get away.

Our check in was not good. We were given a key to a room where someone was already occupying. We were given another room and the keys didn’t work. It happened again with another set of keys. The front desk person came up and tried the master keys and it didn’t work. She went down and found us another room and the keys worked this time. The rest of the stay was pleasant. I received a call from the manager of the hotel and he was very apologetic for what happened and ended up not charging us for the stay. We really appreciated their responsibility in this mishap.
