Unfortunately, our stay was pretty disappointing. The hotel is currently under construction, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The staff was not particularly welcoming or helpful, and there was no room service during our stay. We were also placed on the first floor even though other rooms appeared to be available, which was frustrating given the construction. The pool area was probably the biggest disappointment. It was under construction, there was a hose sticking into the pool, and there were no towels available. Overall, the hotel just didn’t feel ready to provide the experience we expected. I understand renovations have to happen, but guests should be made aware of the limitations ahead of time, and the hotel should make an extra effort with service while construction is ongoing.

Convenient location, can walk anywhere in town. Clean, although you must accept cats walking the common area furniture and friendly dogs at your feet…which is stated clearly in the overview, so not a surprise. 100+ year old house with character, but bedroom and shower is updated. Owner Mollie is friendly and has relevant local suggestions. Breakfast fills the plate, lots of fresh fruit, an egg dish, small amount of meat…likely very healthy. Recommend J. Petter art gallery and Saugatuck Antique Pavilion. Area seems like play area for people stuck in cities who want to get away.

Definitely enjoyed the jacuzzi and the comfortable beds. With nice sheets for a comfortable stay. Only thing would have been bigger or more pillows.
