Stayed in a remodeled room and it was very tastefully done and still smelled new. However, the property was still under significant renovation and for what we were advertisement and expected of the property, and for the price paid, we were disappointed. Everyone checking in felt the same way. Each person who had reserved a specific room on a higher floor with whichever view or amenities; had to argue to have those things honored by the hotel check-in staff. The parking lot for the entire property was filled with gulls so bad that the cars in the parking lot were covered in excrement. Other areas of town and even hotels nearby didn’t seem to have the same issue. It was most likely cause by the construction and the overflowing trash receptacles at the back of the parking lot attracting the sea birds. It was quite an experience seeing all of these nice cars covered in huge white spots..also suckers for a misleading ad..like myself.
