Nice place. Staff was lovely.

This morning we were packing our car for an 8:15 ferry. While we went out, the door locked behind us… it was about 6:10 AM. The key didn’t work, the code didn’t work, the phone number’s mailbox was full. We were outside for about a half hour waiting for someone to leave. I knocked on doors and lighted windows. Finally we called 911, and then the desk person came out. He said “why didn’t you call the number”? We did!! Very frustrating and I’ve never been at a hotel that had no one at the front desk, 24 hrs!

A few smaller items that made the stay slightly questionable, no elevator bags had to be carried. Not much to do about that in an historical building, but it's a note for guests. I would expect a notch better, especially when coming to bedding. The bed was comfortable, but I would expect down pillows and blanket at this price point. The record player was a lovely touch. Parking was challenging, but again, historical town we must make compromises. Wonderful shower towels, GREAT pool and hot tub area. The location of the hotel is / was supreme. Only coffee offered in the lobby, no inroom machine, and no option of a latte, or capp in the hotel or lobby, only in adjacent restaurant. (Loud bathroom fan, bug in room, a little mildew build up on the shower grout, definite degradation happening on plumbing fixtures. At this price point, should be better)

Room was beautiful and loved turndown service. Enjoyed all of amenities. Heated pool, hot tub, beach and fabulous restaurants. Service was 5 stars!

Very accommodating hosts , Dave & Ruta. Delicious 2 course breakfast.Room was clean, very comfortable and great amenities. Hosts were very helpful regarding dining and touring ideas. Highly recommend
