Honest review: The room was decorated nicely. Updated. But the shower was not. The towels were very thin. The water pressure was awful. And the toilet wouldn’t flush without holding down the handle. The breakfast was ok. But there were several trays that were empty. Food was not refilled. It seems this hotel is in need of a manager who cares more about the running of the place. We were not advised until we arrived that we had to use valet parking. It added quite a bit onto our stay. Overall, a decent place. But would definitely not stay again.

The property was well-maintained, clean, and pleasant. However, a mistake had been with the reservation. We were in New York for a conference and needed nights, which we thought we had reserved. My wife came back to the room on the afternoon following the second night and found everything gone. She came downstairs in a panic. Someone at the desk overheard and told us our bags were in the storeroom because we had not vacated the room on time. when I told them I had reserved 3 nights, they a told me no, it was 2. They told me the hotel was booked up that night and they couldn't help me. We are in our 70's and from the west, unfamiliar with the New York City area. When I gave up on trying to get them to inconvenience themselves in a crisis, I asked about other hotels in the area they gave me 2 and didn't offer to contact them for vacancies. The one that did was at least 2 miles away, and we were on foot with luggage. I understand that our country is more and more all about money and not about treating others as one would want to be treated in their circumstances, but you would think that even just the motivation to promote return business would make hotel staff show some concern for their customers.
