The staff are exceptionally friendly but the overall cleanliness of the hotel needs to improve and updates need to happen. Daily housecleaning is offered but the hotel needs some more attention. A profound deep cleaning and paint job. Gym was great and location is not too bad. Pool cleanliness is questionable so I avoided it. You can always get about using local taxi apps. And walk down 30min to have a nicer area on the beach. Direct beach near hotel is a fishing community with shacks so best walk further down the beach to avoid horrible smells from the shack. Nice supermarket and local inexpensive tea shop “Tea Time” are near 1-5 min walks.

Citadines is the ideal place to stay when visiting Muscat. Miss. Muzna, at the front desk, provides the warmest welcome, in a professional manner. The one bedroom apartment is ample, well equipped, and spotless clean, daily. An amazing Breakfast is available, which provides an assortment of dishes and drinks.

First off, I want to highlight that this review is as low as it is because of their service. Absolutely terrible service, treating their customers as a bunch of livestock and animals. We prepaid for this hotel via Hotels.com. They did not offer our prepaid reservation, claiming that the price was too low. This I understand, and I was even willing to pay extra to make up for it. However, it’s how they handled the situation. We had an extra person visiting us, they were going to stay somewhere else but visited us in the room. The front desk called us 3 separate times, asking us how many people we booked and how many people were currently in the room. They finally made us go to the front desk, and then proceeded to say that visitors must leave by 9pm following hotel policy. THIS WAS STATED NOWHERE in the hotel, HOW COULD WE HAVE KNOWN?? They wanted us to pay extra for the visitor in the room, but we insisted that he will leave as soon as possible and ended up not paying. The ridiculous thing is, the original “low” price they claimed is not even that low, since you can get even lower price hotels in the region, with probably better amenities and service. The rooms were old, the lights were dim, and the floors were greasy. The room was disgusting, and there seemed to be cockroach faeces behind the drawers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.
