Property was clean and maintained. The staff was nice and the included breakfast is a pleasant inclusion for the price, however the pool was closed most likely due to the fact it was in need of cleaning but we are in the height of the summer and the reason we booked was for a pool to cool off in. Needless to say we were a little disappointed with the pool being closed.

We stay here at least once a year and love The Blue Elk. Actually, we haven’t stayed anywhere else in Leavenworth in over seven years. Every employee we have engaged with is extremely nice, courteous, and professional. The breakfast is always delicious.

We felt spoiled, was away from the hussle and hurry of town, but still close enough to go do some of the adventures CDA has to offer.

Upon arrival I could tell they are doing work on this property which is much needed. That’s a plus! The downside, the staff were quite unprofessional sitting behind a front desk in rolling chairs while guests are standing behind a counter. It took them about 10 minutes to check in the person in front of me which seemed really long. The guest was frustrated by the lack of an elevator and asked for help with luggage which they declined. Someone (maybe a manager) popped their head out of the back office and quickly disappeared when the saw a line. Not a great first impression. The room was better than expected and seemed clean. The hallway and stairs a little scary. The location isn’t too bad. I personally wouldn’t choose this property again, but for a budget option for a quick overnight it would be ok.

This place was very nice, and we really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were very large, the beds were cozy, and it was definitely a more luxurious experience than your average hotel.

We visited this hotel not for the first time but this time it was very bad. The person who did the registration was not polite at all, did not explain anything and the reception was not friendly to us. The biggest problem was the breakfast, which had nothing but a few eggs. When we asked the staff for food, we only got angry faces in response! So I don't want to come back here anymore.

Everything was wonderful. I've been visiting Icicle Inn Resort in Leavenworth for over 30 years and it remains clean, updated and the breakfast is top notch. The miniature golf course is always well maintained, new bikes are available to ride and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. There is no reason I'd stay any where else in Leavenworth.
