Restaurant food was just okay. I would get a carry out from somewhere else. The bathroom could use a better cleaning.

Very pleased with the hotel. Loved the overall ambience and the d├ęcor was very nice. The staff was very polite and was nice to see people who want to make your stay enjoyable. The exterior was really well groomed and loved the landscaping. The room was real clean and felt very comfortable during our two day stay.

"would recommend!"
Friendly helpful staff, wonderful amenities and nice view! Got a great rate. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Room has full fridge and microwave. Indoor and an outdoor pool (heated). Close dining options. Only negatives for me were no room service available for breakfast and the bistro breakfast buffet food was lukewarm/limited options. Staff was so helpful. Bought a faulty pool float and they just let us go grab another free of charge. Grabbed. Couple beers from their store to drink poolside. Very helpful with suggestions in the area, bringing up extra towels, etc. I would highly recommend and stay again!

"Nice hotel. Adequate for our one night stay."
The room was clean. The pool is small, especially with several children in it, so I opted not to go in. The bed was comfortable, but we always bring our own pillows. Everything worked. I thought the price was a little high for what the room was, but it was probably because of the location. It was pretty close to the beach on Lake Michigan.

"Good Value/Nothing Fancy"
We have stayed here previously, so knew this is a bare bones motel. We bring our son to Owasippe Boy Scout Reservation for the summer and don't have tons of cash to stay at an upscale hotel (our money goes into tents and socks and scout gear!) Always clean, the rooms have been brightened with new paint and a tile floor for rooms that are geared for pet owners-which helps if Fido has an accident to be cleaned up. Plenty of clean towels and blankets, VERY friendly staff. No fridge in the room or coffee maker, but as stated, this is a bare bones motel. Bring your own travel coffee maker and an ice chest and spend the money you saved on some of the nice restaurants in the area.

"Not quite sure the money was worth it........."
The listing said remodeled hotel, but it doesn't say when. The carpet in the hallway on the way to my room was stained. Upon getting into my room, I was checking out things & noticed that the small bottle of shampoo on the counter in the bathroom was only 1/2 full (I have a picture to prove it). The room itself was comfortable. Taking a shower the next morning, I noticed that it was quite slippery, they don't have anything on the bottom of the tub to keep you from sliding around. After my shower, I wanted to use the hair dryer, but it didn't work. The breakfast was very good. When checking out, I waited at the front desk for about 5 minutes, then decided to take my luggage out to my vehicle & waited about 10 minutes before going back in to see if the desk clerk was there. She stated she was helping another guest, but a sign on the counter to let people know why she wasn't there makes sense to me.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Montague hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
