Stayed one night at the palms before a cruise. It’s an ok hotel but there was a loud noise from machines going on and off every few seconds ( think for elevator) that wasn’t restful. Checking in my room card didn’t work first 2 tries tgen finally on 3rd try it worked. Had to make 2 diff trips to front desk. Overall the hotel was ok for a one night stay but was a little overpriced for conditions

I stayed without showering for two days. Front desk informed me that it is against policy to provide a shower chair for me. I'm in a wheelchair and have a service animal for seizures. I have traveled the world and have never heard of a policy like there's. The last day. I was there they did provide me with a shower chair. But by then I was ready to go.

Unfortunately the property looks much nicer in pictures, upon arrival you realize it needs some updating inside. The hallways are kind of dark and dingy, the room was clean and comfortable but nothing special. They do provide breakfast but the highlight of that is the fruit and Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. Outside of that your options are toast or bagel and the warm options alternated between hard boiled eggs with sliced ham (lunchmeat?) And scrambled eggs & diced ham. They do also put out activia yogurt but for about half of my stay there wasnt any left when I made it to breakfast. Luckily this hotel is part of a nice shopping center and the room does have a fridge and microwave, I went to the store and bought groceries for my room. There are nice dining and shopping options within walking distance. Aside from the bilingual front desk staff, nobody else speaks English but Im told thats because "it's Miami". I stayed here because of the close distance to a surgery center I was having surgery at and it suited my needs. My greatest disappointment was the breakfast since i hoped to save money on at least one meal a day for my 6 day stay. If you are just really looking for somewhere to sleep, this place would do just fine. If your needs go beyond that, you may want to look elsewhere. It is probably also worth noting that yhe walls are pretty thin, I always heard when people where coming and going and the ding of the elevator but overall it was fairy peaceful.
