"Beautiful location - a jewel!"
We stayed two nights at the Heritage House Resort. We especially loved walking around the property and watching the waves. The room was large and very well supplied with amenities. We had a deck looking out to the ocean.

"Charming B&B with lots of character"
We had a great time here, our room was really charming (stayed in water tower), if you don't mind it being a bit rustic. It was definitely much more interesting than staying in your typical hotel, our room had a lot of personal little touches - decorations and furniture. The breakfast was incredibly good, and they have a huge tea selection.

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times already, always in the European-style rooms with a shared bathroom. We love the choice of restaurants within a few blocks, the quiet and peaceful town, and always leave relaxed after just one night.

"Great location for walking in to town"
The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is in a great location to walk into town. Rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy. The desk staff were not very inviting or friendly. The price was good especially since it came with a continental breakfast. Unfortunately there wasn't much at breakfast that was good. They had a nice assortment of things, but the hard boiled eggs were so rubbery they were hard to eat. The cereals were all very sugary "kid" type cereals. The muffins, bagels etc. were very old and dry. The toaster burned one side of the bread and didn't toast the other side at all. They could have done a much better job with the breakfast.

"Best surf view in Fort Bragg."
Having read other reviews, I was unsure what to expect, as they seemed to be all over the board. My experience was- The staff was fine. They did what you'd expect, in a pleasant way. So I don't know if that makes them merely good or Great, but no complaints there. We had a room on the ground floor. The patio is rather small, but it fits two chairs and a cooler just fine. It has a railing, which obstructs the view for some. The bed has plenty of pillows, so if there are shorter people, you can stack up the pillows to see the view. There is a recreational path right outside the hotel. This was described as bothersome in some other reviews. It didn't bother me at all. There was a coffee maker and a fridge in the room, but no microwave. The fridge did not seem to get very cold. The thermostat in the room apparently does not work very well, as we were advised "if you're cold, turn it all the way up, and if you're hot turn it all the way down." The toilet is a round shape, not water wise. For a hundred bucks you can get a water saving, comfort height, elongated bowl from Home Depot. I'm just saying. The bed has probably seen better days, but, face it, it still has some usefulness left in it. There was a square table and two chairs in the room, free wifi, a 42(?)inch flat screen tv, with lots of channels available. Overall. the hotel would benefit from a (not major) renovation. But you won't find a better view anywhere in town. I checked as we drove around.

"New and beautiful Mendocino gems!!!"
We had I think the smallest room there "The Redwood Room" right off the large lobby for the same price of larger rooms but had a beautiful lobby and sitting area for meals - excellent food!!! High priced for no grounds to walk around outside - but one of the newest and nicer places to stay up there!!! The early dinner buffet was inclded and was more than enough and great with alcohol included and great breakfast was included too - just a very classy place and staff!!!

"McCallum Suites are Sweet"
The suites are off site from the original inn, and provide a more spacious, modern version of the old inn. There is plenty of parking and the suites are located next to the old cemetary. For breakfast, one must return to the original inn where the restaurant is located, but it is not too far away and not much of an inconvenience. There was a problem with a toilet in our room, but a workman arrived within minutes and made the small repair quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Mendocino Coast is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mendocino Coast, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mendocino Coast hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
