The hotel is beautiful but there are a lot of hidden flaws. It rains nearly everyday in Medellin. We had a room that goes out to the terrace, the water came in and the floor is already slippery, our room was full of water. The washrooms are extremely tight and uncomfortable, there is hardly any space to get around. The shower is a standing room also, the water also leaks its way into the room. Overall such a messy situation. The overnight receptionist, Yohannis, was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, I dropped my state ID upon leaving the hotel. I have asked for it to be shipped (I offered to cover expenses) and they have now ghosted me. If they can’t send it back it’s fine, but I did request for it to be discarded with proof that it’s been cut so that it cannot be used and they refuse to answer. I don’t understand why’d they’d want my state ID if it cannot be used in Colombia. I wouldn’t bother returning, they can’t return an ID but want a good review? I don’t think so.

The property was clean, properly maintained, and had very warm, helpful, and courteous staff. There is no restaurant on the property, but the rooms come equipped with a kitchen area that has a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and a stove. The rooms also come with breakfast, which is served at a restaurant one block away from the hotel. If you are going to be out on the road for most of the time, doing tours or just getting to know Medellin, this type of accommodation is most cost-effective.
