Staff is extremely friendly! Breakfast staff is so so sweet, especially Angelo. He gave us great service. Cleaning staff is also great. The hotel has a great location, and feels very safe. It’s close to el poblado (10 min uber drive) and el tesoro mall (5 min drive / 15 min walk). Would highly reccomend.

To begin with, all you really get with the “VIP Access” is a small water bottle and that’s all. The room itself is very nice and the maids keep the rooms very well organized. The workers at the front desk have little knowledge of the surrounding area and can’t give basic recommendations or advice on places to visit. The breakfast has decent food but the wait times are very long. Even when there is few people, the food takes around 30 minutes to come out. At the end of our stay when we went to check out, while our taxi was waiting for us outside, a worker had to go to our room to check it to see if we had stolen anything or something like that. That was highly inconvenient and has never happened to me before. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Look elsewhere.

Please let me start with, the hotel is truly in a great location. Very quiet neighborhood. The hotel is well maintained and has a great vibe to it. The room was very very comfortable and the housekeeping was top notch. That being said, I did take issue with 2 items. The first was the noise by the staff. I was given a room on the second floor, which opens to the lobby. Every bit of noise travels up and right to your room. Then at 6am every day, housekeeping would start their day. They were never quiet. Loud talking, slamming doors, squeaking on the radio. This went on every day for 2 hours. This is not what a hotel should tolerate. People are there to rest, not listen to slamming doors. The second issue I have is with guests. I have stayed a several hotels in Colombia and all require proper ID of guests to even visit a room. I understand that, but I have friends in Medellin and 1 came over for less then 60 minutes, while we talked and got ready to go out. Well I was charged $20USD by the front desk for a security precaution. I accepted that. The very next day, I did the same thing. My friend in the room for about an hour. This time I was charged $105 for the ability to have a guest. This is ridiculous. The front desk hid the cost. Made up excuses and I don’t fell comfortable ever staying there again. Please be warned. While this is a nice hotel. Ask for a room on an upper floor and definitely don’t have any guest. I get rules, but they should be consistent.
