Panviman Chiang Mai Spa Resort

"A must stay"
I have travelled to many places and stayed in various accomadationsizes and the Panviman has exceeded them all but where to start. The resort staff are truly amazing and to happy to go out of their way for you. If you are tossing up between an idyllic tranquil restful getaway to somewhere remote or the hassle bustle nightlife and markets Thailand are renound for look no further this place offers both. The free shuttle bus leaves the resort into the heart of the night market and day at 10am and 4pm everyday, and return to check you about 5 hours later. These people also have the patients of Saints as we were often late but nothing was a problem for them. The Panviman Spa and resort went well beyond what we would have expected for service. I managed to damage my knee while on holiday. Charlie who we cannot praise enough organised a ride to the medical center and to the pharmacy for medication we would have expected been lost without him and his amazing staff. The Panvimans surroundings are second to none and meticulously kept, as you wander through the forest not a spot has been missed there is either a pond a waTerrell a garden, just too much to describe. And if you want a pool this is it. Fantastic for kids and adults. Pictures on line do not do this place justice. There is also a pool table, giant chess, fuse ball, archery you name it. Charlie the manager is the loveliest friendly host one could want for as is Chi and Bird.

Chankam Boutique Hotel

"A diamond in the rough"
Chankam Boutique Hotel is impeccably kept, serviced, and provides first class service to it's clientele. The hotel sits in the middle of the old city of Chiang Mai, in a residential area, with winding narrow streets. The staff, what can be said to improve on total satisfaction, and comfort! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted very graciously by all the staff, in the open air lobby, along with moist towelettes and a cold fruit drink, while were sat down to relax while checking in. Never before in any hotel did we ever get this level of service. The General Manager, Yospat Chansawan, was hand selected for this family owned hotel to oversee operations and to personally assure that guests are pampered. When guests arrive, they are told that breakfast is served when guests can enjoy breakfast at any time of day, and not restricted by timetable. Mr. Chansawan, is very approachable and friendly, in fact over time we became friends. Friends can call him "Rocket". Not sure why, but I must ask. When we return to Chiang Mai, there is no question as to where we will stay. Chankam Boutique will always be our preferred accommodations in Chiang Mai.

"Nice hotel in old city"
It was in a convenient location in old city. About a 15-20 minute walk to the night bazaar. The breakfast was good and had a wide spread. Rooms were nice and clean. The doors all required an actual key and they give you one large one with a key chain which also turns on the lights and air conditioning in the room. So if one person wants to leave and the other is sleeping you have to keep the key in the room so the a/c won't turn off. Staff is nice as well. Overall, nice reasonably priced hotel

Very nice hotel with traditional Thai style structure, right on the river bank. Super nice staff. Hotel offers full service restaurant with live music. The only down side is it is a little further away from old city and night markets.

"Great Location for Shopping"
My girlfriend and I wanted a hotel centrally located in Chiang Mai because we are planning to move their permanently and we wanted to scope out the city. This hotel is a short distance out from the walled city but still pretty close to the center of town. Very conveniently located to the night market. The hotel restaurants were expensive and not great but there was a lot of local and international cuisine within short walking distance. We really enjoyed the coffee shop because in the evening their pastries and desserts were discounted so if we got back in the evening before they were closed we would avail ourselves of the discounted treats. Awesome deal... The hotel has a great gym and classes. We enjoyed the Zumba classes very much and the gym seemed very well used and offered personal trainers. The pool area was large but the pool itself was nothing special. It wasn't the cheapest hotel in Chiang Mai nor the nicest but it fit our needs. My girlfriend liked it more than me and is there now with her son scoping out the townhouse we are looking to purchase. I know that she wanted to stay their because of the convenience to the night market which I must admit is pretty awesome.

De Lanna Hotel

"Amazing hotel with the perfect location"
We had a wonderful stay at the De Lanna Hotel in mid-May. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well designed, and the staff is very kind and helpful. They are also very welcoming directly upon arrival. The main hotel courtyard is very pretty with a nice pool and greenery. The breakfast goes from 7-10:30 and was phenomenal! There is also a DELICIOUS restaurant in the hotel that we ordered room service from one night. The best part about the hotel is it's location though, directly in the heart of the old city. Just around the corner from the Sunday market, in walking distance of many temples, with good restaurants, massage spots, and supermarkets close by. 10/10 !

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mae Wang, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mae Wang hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
