Basic but really handy for Kings Cross Station.

Hotel was generally clean and comfortable. The lid/seat on the toilet was loose but quickly fixed when I mentioned it to the staff. The room was extremely noisy due to the local traffic and the fact that there was a full pane of glass missing from the sash window. The window did have another sliding window on the inside but didn’t prevent the traffic noise.

The area is convenient for transportation but the room we were initially put in stunk of mildew and sewage, there was evident water damage throughout both the bathroom and sleeping area. The second room was an improvement, however, the bathroom still smelled absolutely horrible, the beds were mostly springs, the air conditioning didn’t work and made a horrible noise. The towels had holes in them and were stained, stains were also on the bedsheets. Additionally, the doors struggled to open, every single time, you’d have to scan the key card multiple times and yank, MULTIPLE times just for it to open. We had a few decent interactions with staff, the gent who changed our rooms was very kind and sympathetic.

Okay for one night stay

Very small hallways and many many stairs. Even if you use the elevator you have to use stairs as well. Room was very tight. A/C available and windows opened. Only stayed one night as we were taking the train out first thing in the morning. Close to the train station.

Front desk person was very friendly. The hallways were hard to maneuverer due to dirty linens and cleaning products being strewn about and I almost tripped trying to get down the steps with my luggage, but other than that, it was great.

great location across the street from the train station. the ac only worked when you had the key in the slot in the room and you’re only allowed 1 key per room, which in englands heat wave after walking for 10 hours roundly went to come back to a boiling room. The towels also had a strange smell and the room smelled musty. The room was huge for a european hotel and was walkable. overall a good stay, just the ac wasn’t working to well even when we were in the room and only allowed to be turned down to 19.

The location was great, but the hairdryer was really old and dirty. There was a lift, but you had to carry your luggage up one floor to get to it. If you were on a higher floor, there was no lift on the fourth floor. This hotel is not a good option if you're carrying a lot of heavy luggage.

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The first room we were given was full of large flies, so we had to request a room change. The second room was in the basement and the hallway smelled strongly of urine. We felt unsafe in the room and decided to leave. We forfeited the charge for the next night and booked another hotel instead. Definitely not worth the money or stress.

Had the worst experience here. It’s not worth it. I arrived around midnight with a large suitcase and two carry-ons, only to be assigned a room on the top floor (4th floor). They claimed there was an elevator, but to reach it you first have to go down one flight of steep, awkward stairs. The elevator itself only goes to the 3rd floor, and from there it’s another three sets of stairs to reach the 4th floor. After I struggled and nearly fell getting to the elevator, the front desk finally offered to help with my luggage. During a heatwave (Aug 11 & 12, 2025), the air conditioning didn’t work at all—it blew hot air like a heating system. I couldn’t sleep the entire night. I filed a complaint at 7 a.m. on Aug 12, but when I returned at 10 p.m., nothing had been fixed. I asked to check out early and requested a refund, as I had paid for an air-conditioned room, but they refused. I do have sympathy for the young man at the front desk, who worked long hours and seemed inexperienced in handling these situations. Unfortunately, this reflects poor management rather than his fault. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone—bad management and poor service.
