Check in was friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, only a few minutes walk from the triple bridge and main area of interest. Our room was very large and comfortable. This is a more "historic" hotel so the features were a little dated I would say, particularly in the communal areas, and the breakfast area seemed to be undergoing some renovations but overall it was very clean and presentable. Breakfast was good although a little chaotic due to the limited space. The lifts were a bit frustrating - old, small and very slow! That was our only complaint really.

Front desk staff was extremely helpful. Marjeta was fantastic will do everything in her power to help in a crisis precious.Beakfast was bountiful if you can`t find it here it doesn`t exist. Entire operation exceeded in so many ways. A must to book if in Ljubljana.

Fantastic stay. Beautiful, comfortable and spacious room. Staff were amazingly helpful. Breakfast choices were just terrific and such a wide selection. Central location and close to the river and castle. Would definitely stay here again. One of the best hotels I have stayed in for some time. Highly recommended

Just around the corner from the main square. Great room with air conditioning! There is some kind of reno going on in the hallway. No problems but it looks kind of questionable until you turn the corner. Everything else is lovely. Would stay here again for sure!

Thank you to the employees at Hotel Slon for a memorable stay. Unfortunately this will be the last time we ever visit Slovenia again. It’s a very anti American country and our disrespectful to our country and our people. If you’re an American definitely skip Slovenia. The hotel we stayed at was good but the city and country are not. Never again. They will learn without Americans there would be no tourism in Europe. Never again and make sure you research countries before you go. The room rates at the hotel where reasonable and the location was perfect.

Breakfast was excellent, so many choices! Air conditioner leaked when I first checked in, but was fixed quickly! Shower was slow to drain. There was a wet spot in the hall rug that was a little slippery, and it was there for my whole stay. Some of the staff were super nice, some just ok. The hotel is absolutely central to all the sights! Overall, I had a very good stay... but they do need to fix a few things.
