My stay there was terrible. My car and 6 others were broken into and stolen items

It’s a gorgeous hotel, but the management and amenities do not match the 4-star rating or the price tag. Most notably, the hotel failed to disclose that the indoor gym was closed for renovations until after I had already booked and paid. A working gym is a major factor in where I choose to stay, and dragging two treadmills, a bench, and some weights outside is an unacceptable substitute. The pool schedule was also completely inconsistent. After being told by staff that the pool stays open until sundown (around 8:00 PM), my girlfriend and I went down at 6:00 PM the next day to find it already locked up. Between that, rooms without microwaves or accessible HDMI ports for streaming devices, and an understaffed restaurant (Flask and Beaker had just one overworked server on duty both times we visited), the stay simply wasn't worth the cost. True rating is a 2.5 out of 5, rounded up to 3.

Parking is easy and free, accessible room was spacious and beds very comfortable. Our window shade was completely broken, so I reported it to the front desk when we checked out, and she made note and apologized. Breakfast was quite good, nice variety of healthy and nutritious offerings! They had a snack area in the lobby, but we couldn't charge it to the room even though there was a surcharge of $100 dollars taken on the credit card I used. That was weird! Overall, I recommend staying there. 😊

Clean room, great staff The walls were thin you could hear the crying baby two doors down like they were in the same room

I was in the area to attend events associated with North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Homecoming. As the host hotel for such a significant university event, I expected a much higher standard of accommodations, service, and overall guest experience. Unfortunately, my stay fell well below those expectations and was not worth the approximately $300 I paid. One of the most frustrating issues was the apparent clog in the bathroom drainage system. The sink backed up, and when I took a shower, the water failed to drain properly, leaving standing water around my ankles. This was an unpleasant and unacceptable experience, particularly at a hotel charging such a premium rate. Guests should not have to deal with basic plumbing problems that interfere with their ability to use the bathroom comfortably and hygienically. What made this experience even more disappointing was that I stayed at a Hilton hotel the night before and paid half the price. Despite the lower cost, the Hilton room was more spacious and included a full-sized refrigerator and a sink. The accommodations offered a much better overall experience and value for the money. It is concerning that a hotel charging nearly twice as much would provide a room that felt less comfortable and appeared to be in need of significant improvement.
