Staff were great and the place was clean, but that’s where the positive review ends. It’s clear no maintenance had been done in decades. Hotel Grinnell Downtown, an Ascend Collection Hotel
It was really cold, and I didn’t realize I needed to use a space heater. It was tucked away in the room and no one mentioned that there was no central heat. Also very loud and echoey, as you’d imagine from an elementary school. But it was really interesting architecturally.

breakfast was ok, and parking was ok too for my mom, she didn't walk far at all from the room which was very great and simple and Pattie was generous and she let me view my room before buying it and the room was cozy and relaxing. Thank u Super 8
