The front desk staff was rude. We had a hotel with a view of another building’s entrance. We asked the front desk to move us and she acted like we interrupted her life. We wanted a room that has less traffic and they put us adjacent to other hotel rooms facing their windows. Poor service

We loved the Salt Steak restaurant food + service (5 stars)! Also most staff were nice at Golden Nugget. BUT, here’s where the horror movie starts: We cracked a window to let in fresh air on Friday night. The next day we woke up to many insect bites and witnessed a barrage of various insects (nats, mosquitos, flies, ect) swarming around. According to the office we called, Apparently the hotel was changing out window screens and had not gotten to our room (457) before we occupied it so we were under attack in our sleep. When we called the office they were quick to send someone up to suck up many insects all over, but that didn’t soothe the bumps and bites and anxiety. The room was also stuffy likely due to the rain. They refused us a new room or refund. We also had delays eating at some restaurants (bubba gumps) due to flooding. But the bartender was great.

The celing was leaking all over the casino floor. The hallway to my room had wet carpet. The facilities were dirty. It really was a shame as I've always stayed there, but not be staying there on my next time.

Both rooms smelled of smoke and both rooms had very slow draining bathroom sinks. It's really time for a remodel on these sad rooms.

So very sad to continue to watch a beloved place to me just rot away. A comfortable clean room and good hospitality is sadly a thing of the past. No valet service or bellhops to be found, room had spiderwebs, dirty comforters that seemed like wadded up sheets , lumpy pillows , cracked and missing bathroom tile grout, old small TV, mini fridge inoperable. During our stay it started raining and water came pouring in throughout the casino as a matter of fact our dinner plans were cancelled because the restaurant had a few inches of water on the floor. Best wishes as I would really love to see this town bounce back but it's going take a miracle

Location is good. West wing rooms need updating. Bathroom had cracked floor tiles, patched walls, uneven mirror and hair dryer removed. Clean bedding. Carpet felt damp.
