Lake Minchumina Vacation Packages

Good experience. There is some confusion on who I to provide a receipt for the stay(hotel or Expedia). I still don’t have a receipt.

First of all, Cynthia was very helpful. She explained everything that we needed to know and you could tell our little cabin was well cared for. When I booked this I did not realize the cabin is a dry cabin and it is in the parking lot of an old closed down bar. We did have our own bathroom inside the old bar. This is definitely not your traditional stay. I'm not saying avoid because it worked out fine for us-just be aware of what you are paying for. Also, there is an active railroad track very close and the trains do blow their horns in the middle of the night. Since we stayed in the summer and it didn't get dark, it wasn't a big deal to walk across the parking lot to use the restroom but it would be creepy during a time of year it gets dark.

It was a very cute cabin that had a lot to offer . It was on the outside of the park which was a bonus. Of the 5 cabins on our 6 wk trip, we rated it # 2. It was very comfortable. As per all vacation rentals, we received a lot of notices, your arrival , your stay, and please remember your departure rules. As far as our booking, we read on Expedia, there was a hot tub however this tub is attached to only 1 of the 4(or 5 ) cabins which are rented out. We felt that should be clearer when we book. You do not know which cabin you have until you receive communication 48 hrs ahead. This was confusing and a bit disappointing. It was not cheap!

Quirky kind of place suited us great, clean rooms, you are above the bar which is a tad loud but was fine by us

Breakfast was charge , was no with the room like ke most place

A/C not working in the large king room. Maintenance man worked for 2 hours before we were moved to a 2 Queen smaller room which was not as nice or clean. Not real happy about the inconvenience and no offer to compensate for the inconvenience. The staff were helpful and maintenance man was very apologetic. Probably would not stay there again.

Room looks nothing like the pictures on the website. Nothing at all like it was explained on the site. Would not stay there again. One night was even to much!

Nice property and location to airport. Shuttle service is helpful as well. The restaurant is delicious too. Friendly staff
