Great located hotel, right on the River Lee. The hotel is light and modern. The bar is large and open, with a smoking shed on the balcony. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar prices for such a lovely hotel were good, with a variety of beers and spirits and wine. Albert the night porter was good for a laugh and had time to talk when not dealing with customers. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a centrally located hotel close to all the amenities.

We loved The Trident and plan to return as soon as possible. We traveled to server all towns and cities while in Irleand but Kinsale was our favourite. The Trident Hotel lived up to everything that our friends had told us about.

We wanted to visit the Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone as one should do in Ireland this was close to the Castle but not right in the town which was very busy with tourist's. It is first a golf course that has a hotel for golfers and others. The room was good and the hotel was busy with golf members who dine there and socialize not staying the night. I would recommend this any visiting the Blarney Castle as it is close and not in the busy area around the Castle.

Nice old hotel. It's a little worn but that adds to the character of the place. They greet you with a shot of Irish wiskey which was a nice touch. It was a bit challenging to find the hotel as it's well hidden in some tiny streets. The location is in the student housing area which isn't the best neighborhood. You need to travel a bit to get somewhere interesting and it's a little too far from the town centre to walk. The restaurants were nice but a bit stuffy for our tastes. We found great spots to eat in town. Highly recommend the Elbow Lane.

A popular holiday resort, Kinsale is popular with tourists seeking gourmet restaurants and sport activities such as yaching, sea angling, and golf. Architecturally significant buildings include St. Multose's Church (Church of Ireland), St. John the Baptist (Roman Catholic), the Market House, and the so-called French Prison (also known as Desmond Castle).
