"So much to do in the area!!!"
It was so close to everything. That was the best part. The hotel needs a bit of renovation which is in the process of being done, which has 1 whole floor shit down.

"Comfy Quick stay"
We needed to get off the road out of the rain on our way back to Texas. For the price and such a last minute decision this was a great choice in hotel! The ONLY two things I had a problem with was the cleanliness of the room, the floor wasn't vacuumed and the bathroom only had less than half the roll of toilet paper and no second roll stocked, and they had a problem with their elevator and it flickered and made crazy sounds while we were on it on the 10th floor scaring the absolute life out of me.

"Beautiful art deco renovation in perfect location"
We loved it. The lobby, coffee shop and restaurant will be open in January 2017 and we'll be sure to stay there again. The architecture and history of the building are amazing. Staff gave us a nice tour of the new renovations and historic private party room. The rooms and bathrooms were small but very well done. The location in downtown KC is perfect. Can't wait to return.

"Nice facilities "
This was our first time staying here. Free valet parking was a pleasant surprise. Check in and out was painless. The overall facility was clean and fairly smoke free. The prime rib at the steak house was to die for. Room was very quiet. We will definitely be back.

"Great Location for Nelson and Kemper Galleries!"
The title pretty much encapsulates what you get: short (I mean short!) walks to the Kemper Museum of Modern Art and the world class Nelson Atkins Museum. An easy walk to the Country Club Plaza and Winsteads (a KC old style drive-in restaurant). A slightly longer walk to Andre's which makes Swiss chocolate, pastries and serves wonderful lunches on premises. The Westport area is a longer walk, but doable. As a bonus there is a locally owned organic food market just up Main street should you want to fix something healthy in your room. So the location is terrific for the venues listed above. Also do realize that Kansas City was my formative home so I know this area well.

    Explore Kansas City

Nearly smack in the middle of the US, Kansas City is famed for barbecue, jazz and the world's largest badminton shuttlecocks. Didn't expect that, did you? KC surprises in many ways – with its art and culture, its fountains and wide-open boulevards, and its intriguing museums and convivial neighborhoods.

The National WWI Museum has so much to see the admission ticket is valid for two days. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art sprawls with world-class treasures, including those mighty shuttlecocks, by sculptor Claes Oldenburg. The American Jazz Museum trumpets the genre's history by day, while hep-cat clubs bop by night in the surrounding Historic Jazz District.

Other neighborhoods prime for a stroll are the Crossroads, an enclave of studios and galleries, and 39th Street West, a strip of hemp shops, boutiques and ethnic eateries. Country Club Plaza melds a posh shopping district with ornate public art and architecture à la Seville, Spain. Wherever you are, seek out KC's slow-roasted, sweet-sauced barbecue. Plenty of restaurants around town heap plates with finger-licking meats.
