Place is clean but really basic and over priced. For 500$ a night you would expect absolute luxury but was really disappointed. The staff are really nice and friendly which was the only positive from the huge price paid.

Perfect choice in Nungwi Kendwa area.Hotel is still new but staff at bars need a lot of training except for Hassan at main reception bar who was excellent

The Mizangani Seafront Hotel was an amazing, atmospheric bit of old Zanzibar looking out on the Stone Town harbor, and across from the Dar es Salaam ferry landing. They served a wonderful breakfast on the veranda. The reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and gave us a warm welcome. Our room was spacious and filled with beautiful Zanzibari details.

The hotel could use some updating, as the rooms feel quite old-fashioned. While some staff were friendly, service was inconsistent — I had to ask multiple times for drinks.
