Fantastic hotel with amazing staff!

The San Karlu is a BEAUTIFUL hotel, right in the heart of Valleta. The staff were so friendly, rooftop pool was great to cool down in, and included breakfast was yummy. I would highly recommend lodging here during your stay in Malta. Thank you!

The hotel is centrally located to walk to all of the attractions in Valletta and transport to every where outside of the city. The rooms are spacious, the air conditioning kept us comfortable and the shower was fitted with a rain shower head and a handheld one as well. The staff was excellent. We were greeted every morning by a welcoming staff serving us at breakfast, which was excellent (fresh fruit, pastries, local yogurt, cereals and a choice of a substantial hot breakfast). We enjoyed the pool every night after a day of touring. I highly recommend Palais le Brun. The location, rooms, amenities, service and staff were all top notch.

A hotel that does everything needed but doesn’t excel at any one thing. For the price this is what you are okay with. Near the water with some nice places to lay out, pools are large, rooms were nice and spacious with a nice size balcony. Food is the miss overall (breakfast is very basic - options are very limited), even lunch options are pretty limited to a few sandwiches and pizzas. Dinner was better. If you are traveling around the island all day - you the location is a bit tough since you have to drive through a lot of extra small roads that could be avoided by with a hotel in the middle of island. That said continently close to other hot spots nearby like the gozo ferry, boats to comino, etc

Super friendly staff and lovely, clean room. Location was great for exploring Valletta however wasn’t able to get a car close to the entrance so that’s something to think about with luggage and mobility issues. We booked short notice as we had an issue with an Airbnb, and we were warmly welcomed late in the evening. Included breakfast was a nice surprise. The view out of the window wasn’t good at all, and I didn’t find the bed the most comfortable, but everything else was great so I would stay here again.
