"Ideal Family trip spot"
Attended wedding on property and everything was excellent. When it came to room it wasn't cooling enough, shower stall leaked when used onto floor and ants in room.

"Nice hotel. Staff friendly, helpful."
Service was excellent. Beautiful location, pools. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, but we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Also, there are no elevators in the main building, very difficult to negotiate if you're handicapped. Plenty to do during the day, but no entertainment at night in the main building.

"Enjoyable First Stay"
Enjoyed sunshine and warm temps for 15 & 1/2 days out of 16. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. (Some speak English - some cannot but try). Barra is a safe place to walk about, even at night. (However, would still prefer a short cab ride from town to hotel after dark.) Many restaurants and bars to choose, all with good food. Loved the laundromat service available in town. Shopkeepers and "beach vendors" were all polite and not pushy. Location more suited for adult vacations... not a lot for kids to do.

"The best hotel in Barra de Navidad."
It is right on the beach, and close to everything in town. The infinity pool is amazing that you can watch the sunsets right from the pool. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful.

"Weekday Getaway"
We stayed at Playa de Oro during the week and it was packed. The front desk was very polite but a bit under staffed for the amount of people. Kid zone is super fun for kids. The food is okay-buffet style. The beach is across the hotel and down the stairs.

"Small, boutique hotel on the best beach"
I made this reservation with hesitation. Over the past 35 years, my husband and I have stayed at at least a dozen properties in Manzanillo, beginning with Las Hadas, in the early 80's. Among the hotels we've stayed in have been a few dives, but for the most part we've loved them all--Coral Pacífico, Barceló, Dolphin Cove Inn, to name just a few. We even stayed across the street from Mar Celeste when it was Club Maeva. So, you get the idea---we are experienced vacationers in Manzanillo. We arrived at Mar Celeste and were amazed to see how close it was to the main shopping area. After walking through the open arch way, we were greeted by Karina, the concierge. Check in was muy rápido, (very fast) and Victor took us up one flight of stairs to our room. My first impression was that it was wider than I had expected--and fully equipped--great toiletries, pod coffee maker, make-up mirror, safe, and my favorite--a lightweight robe! Oh, yes, the shades on the sliding doors are controlled by remote. The balcony, though small, is right on the sea! I was curious about what would be include in the all inclusive rate---in a nutshell, everything. The liquors and even the wines were top of the line. The menu is a la carte and the choices are abundant---lots of Mexican dishes and shrimp. I loved the Tortilla Soup--so much so that the chief gave me some to take home (though American, we live in Mexico.) All the staff, Laura, Richard, Victor, Sabina, the beach attendant, etc, were great

Isla Navidad is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Isla Navidad, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Isla Navidad hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
