"Airlie Court Holiday Units-excellent!"
We (retired couple) spent 9 nights there and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Rooms came with a kitchenette, bathroom and ample chairs for relaxing. They were clean, comfortable and suited our needs for a relaxing, stressless stay. There is a laundry downstairs and the linen is changed after 3 nights or on request. The cyclone damage was minimal (ballustrading on rear deck) which given time will be fixed. This did not impact on us. There is a delivery zone for Woolworths trucks at the rear which may disturb some people, (maybe with young children), but we didn't find it a problem at all. The restaurant KC's attached to the property was excelllent-very good food, wait staff were helpful and friendly and great ambience. We'd definitely stay there again.

"Did exactly what it said on the tin : )"
As above. The staff were fab, really helped with an issue we had with an outside supplier. Shame the Lagoon out the back was closed due to cyclone earlier in the year, but that wasn't anything to do with the hotel. Bit noisy in our room on the first night but staff moved us asap. Would return again. Thanks to all concerned.

"Great ocean/island view, great hosts."
Fantastic views from decks. Kookaburras laughing all day. We enjoyed the communal kitchen/lounge, met some lovely people yet still had privacy in our own room. Accept Pete's offer for the initial lift up the driveway with luggage, but then we really enjoyed traipsing up and down as we walked everywhere. Shops including supermarket within 600m. Enjoyed the indoor pool (especially after the walk up the driveway) to cool off and the pool table for some friendly competition. Pete booked our tours for us which was great and was more than happy to assist us where he could.

"Fantastic stay at SeaStar"
We had originally booked a different hotel but had to change after it was damaged during the recent cyclone that hit the area. Needless to say we made an excellent choice with SeaStar apartments. Upon arriving we were greeted by a staff member who took us up the steep hill on a buggy to the hotel. All the way up the view just got better and better and we were already impressed then. As we were in a bit of a rush to get to a pre-booked tour, we asked the staff what was the best way to get down to port of airlie. Unexpectedly, they generously offered to drive us down there themselves. Taking this opportunity to quickly dump our stuff in our room before heading out, we were dumbstruck to see that our room was pretty amazing to say the least. With a full kitchen, living area, separated bedroom and bathroom as well as a massive balcony with the most incredible view yet...we were very very impressed. It was almost too much. Before getting in the car, the staff also offered to lend us some sunscreen as they could see we didn't have time to get our own. Never before had we experienced this kind of service in this country, and it made the stay that more pleasurable knowing the the staff were so friendly in addition to the already amazing room. At many points throughout our stay we would simply sit on the balcony and look out towards the beach. With only 10 mins walk to the main street, we found it very convenient (although walking up the hill gives you a workout). Highly recommend!

"Hotel close to all amenities."
The room is OK, clean and roomy. It's average but the place is close to all the amenities including Woolworths, shops and cafes. Breakfast is below average as it comprises of juice, cereal, toast and yogurt. Could be good if hot foods are served and coffee are extra. There are renovations happening but it didn't bother me as it's understood they are fixing the best they can after the cyclone.

"Peaceful and Luxurious"
My husband and I went away for a babymoon and wanted somewhere quiet to stay with a kitchen. We decided to treat ourselves and chose the Mirage. We were both very impressed when we walked in the room. So beautiful especially the view. Its out of Airlie Beach town, but you can walk there (took us about 40 min direct) and stop over and a couple of bars with more great views on the way. In the other direction is Cannonvale Beach which we visited most mornings and stopped at the Fat Frog Beach cafe for a coffee. Most afternoons were spent lazing by the pool. We did hire a car for a couple of days which was handy as it meant we could go to the shops when we wanted (although the hotel does have a courtesy bus at certain times you can use). We also drove up to Dingo Beach in Cape Gloucester which was a lovely place to visit. We had an amazingly relaxing weekend and if we make it back to Airlie Beach I would definitely love to stay at the Mirage again.

Hayman Island is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Hayman Island, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Hayman Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
