Not happy

My recent stay at the hotel was mixed. On the one hand, the room itself was clean however, I found that the room had a musty smell that was quite noticeable, and unfortunately, the linens also lacked that fresh, clean scent you'd expect. ​The breakfast experience was also disappointing. The breakfast area was not well-maintained and looked a bit messy. The food options were extremely limited, consisting almost entirely of various breads. There were no hot items or other choices, which made for a very basic and unappealing start to the day. ​While the cleanliness of the room was appreciated, the issues with the musty smell and the poor breakfast offerings really impacted my overall experience.

Unfortunately, my experience at the Coastal Inn Halifax was not pleasant. The continental breakfast was very poor — limited selection, and both the coffee and tea tasted bad. My room was noisy, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, I expected better quality and comfort for the price.

Ok hotel.

Staff at reception desk were great. The hotel could use some upgrades, but not bad for a budget hotel. The continental breakfast was adequate but could definitely be improved upon.

Great place to stay for less money

Great place to stay but about 15- 20 mins to town. We had an appointment at IWK so it was a quick trip and needed a cheap place to stay

We had a king room that had a sitting area and a wetbar style counter. The room was large and allowed lots of room to spread out and enjoy the space. It was clean and comfortable. The decorations were mildly dated but it was a nice space. The pool was large, clean and had great hours.

Good option

I would stay here again. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and well run. Beds were comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine although the breakfast room was a bit crowded. I would happily stay here again.
