Comfortable modern hotel in a good location just off the seafront. Handy for ferry to Valetta. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Good breakfast offering that includes hot and cold buffet. The pool complex, shared with other hotels, is 5 minutes walk away, although this was never a problem.

Location great, hotel itself very poor. Breakfast ok but lack of decent selection of fresh fruit or vegetarian options. We had a superior room which was basic to say the least, so dread to think what a standard room was like. Bed made daily but room not cleaned, we had a cup of coffee sat on a table for 8 days. Bathroom definitely not cleaned either, towels changed but amount left varied. Returned from day out at 16.15 to find room still not cleaned so no we had to tell the cleaner to just change our towels. The pool is pretty good, just across the road. However, half of the beds by the pool are reserved for another hotel as it is a communal beach club. Non residents can pay to use this so most days beds around the pool are taken, but, there are plenty more up on the roof terraces. I personally would not go back to this hotel.

The hotel was clean. The room was a good size. We had a large bed, which was comfortable for me but my friend found too soft. We stayed 4 days and asked for the room to be cleaned and it was done. The staff were helpful. The buffet breakfast had a good selection. Our room had a balcony and did overlook the local residents but it was not a problem. The hotel is located in a side street off the main road. It is near the harbour. There is also plenty of restaurants if you want to eat out. I would stay here again.

Great stay at the Azur hotel. Friendly staff (mention to Ivan and Fiona) that goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. Comfortable room, full breakfast. Note the pool isn’t in the hotel but at a nearby club (very walkable distance) which also has great service, drinks and food. There is also a safe locker section in the basement if you need extra time to venture before your flight. The bathroom in that section needs some love.

Staff were very good, particularly on reception. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Use of nearby pool facility was a notable bonus and cost saving. Well located on transport routes. A good array of bars, resteraunts and cafes nearby along with 24-hour supermarkets. A secure luggage facility on check out.

Very good

Good variety of buffet breakfast and nice location. Walkable to many restaurants, supermarket, bus station and the port. The pool is across the street with a great view to the port with many nice boats. Everything was clean and the room is spacious. All rooms have balconies and good views. It is pretty quiet and always full in high season. There is a large deposit area for luggage where you can also take a shower before going to the airport. We got access to the pool before the check in which was great cuz we arrived very early and the check in is at 2pm. Totally recommend this hotel and we will definitely choose it again.

Excellent Care

The breakfast was great and the staff very helpful as I have walking needs. However the mattress was the wrong size for the bed and I fell out of bed and cracked a rib so in lots of pain.

The property description on the website is not a is the rooms are subject to so much internal noise not sound proof at all And the pool featured in the photos is 200 meters away with no guaruantee of entry such a disappointment as the photos are prominent on the web site Gym was also out of service so a lot of money for nothing

The fitness room wasn't working. The check in took a very long time as they had just one staff. The room was very dark. No central light. The breakfast wasn't great. The cleaning starts only at 3pm, not ideal. The pool is not in the hotel but outside and opened to other visitors. It is very busy. The shampo and shower gel are terrible, had to buy some. Definitely not coming back and not a 4 star hotel

The room was a good size with enough storage space for two, bathroom was good with a shower with good water pressure. Breakfast was fine, gluten free bread was available upon request. The website is misleading though and the restaurant is only open for breakfast. The coral bar detailed on the website no longer exists and is simply just seating behind the reception desk. On this site the hotel is labelled as having an on-site pool, this is incorrect. Rooms actually receive free access to the lido across the street. Other hotels nearby also receive free access and the lido is also open to the public. Room cleaning service happened later in the day than I would have liked, usually 4/5pm. Fitness centre is awful and consisted of only a broken treadmill, a broken fitness bike, and a cable machine. A good choice for those who want to spend most of their time outside the hotel, the room is good for cooking off with air-conditioning but the hotel has few other facilities. The lido is nice but gets busy quickly and the food and drinks there can be expensive.

I am not sure if my chat with Expedia was seen by hotel. It seemed to me that they had to find another room which had to be adapted to our request - twin room & accessible. When towels needed to be changed we had to follow up with Reception for new towels to be given ‘emergency towels’. We still did not get any hand towels or shower mat. Had to use one of bath towels so we did not slip on the tiled floor. This happened twice. I was told there was a problem with laundry. The staff were very helpful & polite. The General Manager was present a few times which was nice. Thank you.
