Nice easy check in room was clean and tidy this is an old boat , but I did think most things were just ok , there is heating in the room pity it’s not on , the boat is lovely and well lite up at night pity the curtains dont block the light out , there is no bar or restaurant available, and you are not allowed to walk on the upper deck , I bet this place was fantastic a few years ago but definitely needs an upgrade , shops and restaurants are not far away

Check in was bad, staff only present for short time then it’s all done through a phone call. Room and shared bathroom felt like a jail cell. The bed was an awful cot. Literally left and went to a different hotel the next day. Would not recommend this place at all

Unique and characterful ocation. Stay was much better than anticipated from reviews but place needs better mattresses, human on site at reception (we only saw staff there once) and an arrangement for guests to be allowed a visit to the deck: it is a real downside - and a miss-selling of the location - that guests are forbidden access. Breakfasts need more variety and fruit.

The place is not as advertised on Expedia, and they either need to update the description to properly reflect what is on offer, or stop offering this place all together. For a start there is no toilet or shower in the room, it’s all shared, and that was not what I wanted in the slightest, again, not mentioned once throughout the booking process. It’s a really old ship internally, and is in desperate need of an update in all areas. The toilets absolutely stank, and the showers were old, filthy and rusted. The check in process is done by using a really old phone, and the person on the other end needs a lesson in the basics of customer service. This is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and it should be closed down for serious updates and repairs.

Loved the authentic Viking ship experience. Loved that they let us go to the top of the ship. Staff seemed a bit brusque and didn't speak any English, pushing us to leave exactly 11am when ill, having made us wait to change to the new room for the longest possible time. Very late check-in compared to the early check-out

Well where do we start , first of all on arrival check in is a joke , no one speaks English and just about speaks Swedish. Had to wait for our room to be ready for us, staff unhelpful and lack of staff working. When we booked our stay we see that there was supposed to be tea and coffee in communal areas and there's nothing. Not even a vending machine to get a drink. There is also supposed to be a Bar and restaurant, but that was closed without any signs. The upper deck outside is closed to guests. The whole ship is dirty and in desperate need of renovation it just looks like a complete mess. The so called breakfast buffet is a joke, very limited to what you can get. Please do not book a stay here , you will be very disappointed, we were 😡.
