"Nice hotel in heart of city with good restaurant"
Charming old world hotel with one of the largest rooms I have ever stayed in Italy. Although I had two excellent dinners in the hotel restaurant, I wasn't overwhelmed with their bkfst buffet.

"Slightly tired grand hotel"
The grounds of the hotel are stunning. Main floor ceilings about 40 feet tall with polished marble floors...rooms are clean but old. Furnishings pretty stuffy. We did not get the rooms with the balcony, rather we faced the parking lot. This was possibly due to booking fairly inexpensively online. Breakfast was terrific. We chose to eat dinner at the hotel based on online reviews. This turned out to be a mistake. Food was ok, kind of homecooked ok, but overpriced. We had the 35 euro menu which consisted of 2 courses- I had duck salad ( mesclun with chopped duck and a sprinkling of balsamic) and braised beef (2 small slices of tasty braised beef with some potato and veg). It came with water and a glass of wine. There were only 3 tables of guests, despite the hotel being well-attended. That should have been a clue. I would stay again if the price was right, but would find someplace else to eat.

"An upgrade. Hotel Continental to Grand Savoia."
We initially booked into the Hotel Continental in Genova and were pleased when we arrived by train, that it was little more than a 100 metre walk from the station. On check in, we were advised that we were being upgraded to the Grand Hotel Savoia [next door]. The doorman from the Grand Savoia [interconnected] transferred our luggage next door for check in and to our room. While we only had a 2nd floor room to the rear of the hotel, we had a small courtyard off our room, to sit and enjoy a coffee or drink, depending on the hour of day. Restaurant, good service and meals, overall service made for an enjoyable stay. The Continental and Grand Savoia, 2 well preserved "old style" buildings, with charm and service to match. Would book either of these hotels, if in Genova again.

"Hotel was in an excellent location"
The hotel is in a prime location being both close to the station, the shops and major tourist attractions. The hotel offered a good breakfast buffet. The room was pleasant and had a good clean bathroom. It was quiet at night so you had a good nights sleep. All staff were pleasant and helpful.

Front desk Staff was excellent. Restaurant was great! Room spacious, but phone didn't work and air conditioner was not cooling and noisy at higher fan speeds. They fixed the phone, but it was a warm night!

"visit to Genoa for easter break"
hotel is quite far from genoa's old town centre- no 7 and night bus no 9 route-45mins journey to old city centre. metro station is 10 mins from hotel- but not a frequent service. Hotel itself is very good- breakfast costs 10 euro-buffet- very nice-drinks- coffee+others-bacon/sausage/salad and egg-variety of sweet/ it's worth 10 euro.everything about hotel is very good-staff are very helpful/food/cleaniness. ONLY LOCATION-45 mins to genoa's centre-Principle station. I did not find Genoa's very attractive as it is a old town-but if you are interested in history-it's worth it. But outside of Genoa- eg- Pisa. we went to Pisa by train-54 euro included return journey- took plenty of photos at Pisa tower-peculiar tower- love this and it's really worth to visit.the next day we visited Portifino via Santa Margarita by train and then by boat-lovely view, nice blue clear water-sea food. on the last day-we visited Congali,a small island by train from Principle Station.-lovely view again

"Lovely hotel. Walking distance to most attractions"
Stayed here last week in sweltering heat. Was Devine to come back to the air conditioned hotel room. Hop on hop off bus stop 2 minutes walk away. De Ferrari 5 min. Walk away, through beautiful shopping arcade (Volabus leaves from here to take you to the airport). Train station 10 min. walk away. Staff very friendly and all fluent in English. Very much value for money in an upmarket, safe location. Would definitely stay here again.

Gavi is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Gavi, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Gavi hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
