I’ve stayed here three times, it’s become something to look forward to when traveling through Gallup. Have stayed in some dumps in this town over the years, but never again. El Rancho all the way. Lovely rooms, friendly staff, great restaurant and bar, fascinating history. End a long day on the road with a drink and a book by the lobby fireplace. Brilliant. Will absolutely be back!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a roaring fire inside and neon lights outside. Iconic stars and their history makes this hotel as interesting as it is beautiful! The rooms are very small, so pack light.

Breakfast was very average. Limited menu. Bar food for dinner was qluite good. The hotel was historic but clean and cutely decorated. Room was very small. Bed was comfey and slep well but 2 people were always in each other's way. We were warned not to leave our bikes on the car overnight even though they were secured. The helped us bring them in and put in storage. Apparently nothing is safe anywhere in Gallup. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would stay again but ask for a bigger room.

check in was slow. i was disappointed with the room: that bathroom is intolerably small. the shower curtain and the door are shoulder to shoulder. very uncomfortable space in the bathroom. there were crumbs on the chair and the floor next to the bed. no screen on the window. grounds were beautiful and well maintained. so i'm disappointed because i was looking forward to this trip and the room was uncomfortable and dirty.

We stayed here as a stop roadtripping from Denver to Scottsdale. Its a fun throwback, kinda kitchy and cool with the Route 66 theme. We styayed in the Annex because we had a dog. The traffric noise is real even on a Sunday night. The bar is super cute, great food and drinks as well as kind service. The BEST Indian gifts store too. Unique and memorable stay!
