ROACHES!!! We reserved a room in August 2026. We arrived in the early morning. When we opened the door to the room and turned on the light, there were black spots on the bed that started to move. The bed and floor had numerous live roaches. We went back to the front desk and asked for a refund. The night clerk told us that he couldn't do that until he contacted the 3rd party (hotels.com), but that he would have management in the morning handle the refund. That never happened and when I asked hotels.com for assistance, the hotel did not respond to them either. Do not trust this property.

Dinner was great, breakfast was the same every day, outdoor pools were too cold, everyone complained, pontoon ride was very nice! Entertainment was sub-par, nothing like advertisement showed, the toilets were extremely low to the floor! The rooms look exactly like the picture! The buildings are old, but everything felt clean, if you’re going to have round beds, you should special order round bottom sheets, we woke up on the mattress with no cover,

The staff here is what sells this place mostly. The price is okay, although maybe they should be even cheaper. Nice location, amenities and inside are not updated. I do not think they should spend the money to update, but I do think they should make sure things like someone else mentioning a jacuzzi not working and if the counter siding is coming off, stuff like that should be fixed. They keep the place clean even though there was pet odor during the weekend as it is a pet friendly hotel. The food is respectable for what it offered as part of the deal by staying overnight here. There was a dishwasher in my place, but I'm not sure if I missed the detergent or if I was expected to get some myself. I'm not sure if I was supposed to wash the dishes myself- as I did not have too much to wash, I just did it myself as best I could as I didn't want to have to deal with potential additional charges. I would stay again, but it's not my first choice unless I have a pet and/or children. I also don't typically have a room this nice, but I had work funds I had to use up.

Its a very nice place, seems like it was updated recently. But those upgrades need maintenance. The master shower faucet isn’t mounted properly so the handle and cover plate move around whenever you use it. There’s a hand towel rack that needs to be remounted because the wall anchors are falling out. There front storm door is falling off the hinges and it doesn’t have pneumatic door closer so its constantly swinging open. And they advertise that there’s a pool but i was never able to access it. Other guests told me they were given a passcode but I never received one. Tried speaking to someone from Avant stay team but no one ever called me back. And there’s no one on site….. no security person at the front, no one in the office building did not see one staff person the entire week. But it was clean and they had decent WiFi.
