Could have been worse by a few measures, could have been better by all metrics. If it's cheaper than anything else around go for it, but this isnt a first string select

All of the staff members were very nice and professional. The gentleman that prepared breakfast on Sunday was extremely rude and very mean. Our otherwise perfect stay was hampered just by encountering him. His general demeaner was like a black cloud in the eat in area. I forgot to read his name tag as I tried to steer clear of him after one atempt of a cordial exchange. This gentleman worked on 5/10/26 during breakfast hours. The cleaning staff was extremely nice as was the several front desk staff. I wouldve given less than 4 stars but did not want to overlook the other staff that was very professional. I don't know why this great property would want to continue his employ. I really hope this review is read by the appropriate people so they can take any action so noone else has to be subject to his poor behavior.

Room was very clean, Staff was great. My kids had the breakfast and said it was good. Pool/Hot Tub were down due to maintenance. No biggie to us we were not planning on using. Only downside was they appeared to have a lot of leaks from the rain or something. They had a bunch of trash cans set up to catch water. Kinda out of their control. But hotel did have a smell and no way to keep floors clean the entire day due to people tracking dirt through the water. But they did try their best. Def would stay again.

Contactless doesn't really work that well they might give you a number to the room or its number to get in either way you need to stop at front desk and make sure. A keycard would solve this problem. There bathtub is highly slippery when taking a shower so be careful. Last but not least the checking or early check in process was not so great. I arrived at the property around 4am close to 5 i got to the front desk and was told no room was ready and for a extra fee i would have to pay for another day which i don't have with there rates at that time or cancel which i couldn't afford either. I had to wait till 2pm to checked in early when normal checking in was at 4pm. I sat and waited in the lobby for 10 hrs to get checked in. With that size of a building and room i would think they have one vacant room somehow. The older gentlemen who took over in the morning was very accommodating to my situation and was the only thing positive about the stay.

Google Maps does 461 no justice, but FYI, you're right in the middle of bustling, ethnic, college/hospital center North Oakland. A great deal for parents visiting kids at Pitt or Carnegie. Clean. Spacious. Nice amenities. Walkable to many attractions. Alex from 3E was super attentive, in one instance responding in under a minute when we locked ourselves out of the apartment.
