Typical student dorm room accommodations. Great breakfast buffet with loads of options. Quite loud in the halls from other visitors. Overall good stay. Front desk staff were super helpful and kind.
They mentioned there wasn’t parking although there is however ina first in first served basis. I unfortunately had precooked alternate parking for £20+. Disappointed when was told there were spaces available.
Great budget option and fun to be on lively campus
Very good location. Great free buffet breakfast, also variety of delicious food for dinner buffet for 22💷. Direct Taxi phone at the entrance of the Reception Centre.
Breakfast great, bed comfy, no hot water at basin in the room but hot water in the shower room basins across the corridor. Nice stay for a stop over but I agree room walls very thin so noise can be an issue.
Affordable stay. Incredibly good breakfast. The room was basic (but to be expected). No en-suite was definitely an issue and rooms, corridors, and shower rooms etc needed freshening up for sure. Not a bad stay in any way. Lovely grounds and good staff on hand to help.

Great value option
Good, basic accommodation for a very reasonable price, within easy walking distance of the city centre.
A quiet campus, with safe and secure parking included made it a fantastic deal.
The rooms are basic, and a little tired, but clean and comfortable enough and the included breakfast is a nice bonus.
Edinburgh uni Summer Stay at Pollock Halls was fantastic. From the easy and friendly check-in it all went smoothly. Great selection at breakfast with lots of seating available. Very helpful and friendly breakfast staff. Shared bathroom was very clean as as expected for uni accommodation. Bed was very comfy. 100% recommend.
This accomodation was a good price relative to other accomodation in Edinburgh. We enjoyed the breakfast which is served buffet style in the university refectory which is a quick walk from the halls. We ate a couple of nights at Arthur's which was also a reasonably priced and was tasty. There was also the option of eating in the refectory.
The downsides were the beds which I found to be hard and the tiny TV in the room. We appreciated the shower gel, nice towels and the heated towel rail which kept the towels warm and dry!
The halls are a bus ride or a 25 min walk from town, however convenient for a walk up to Arthur's seat.
The whole experience was fun and felt different to a bog-standard hotel. My 10 year old son really enjoyed it!
A little further from The Royal Mile than we thought when walking. Great for a short stay at reasonable price. Breakfast included which was great with lots of choice including cooked food.
