Beautiful property! The young lady at the front desk thoroughly explained all the amenities available to us and upgraded our room! Room ended up being a one bedroom apartment with full kitchen, two large screen TVs, comfy couch in living room. bed was very comfortable. everything was top-notch!

The building and bar area are historic and beautiful. And have some of the best espresso martinis I’ve had! The apartment style is unique.. reminds me of a small NyC apartment. I only wish they had ice and water on all the floors. Having to go down from 8 to 2 was a little inconvenient. I might also prefer having a few extra towels… often double occupancy comes with 3-4 sets of everything not just 2 bath sheets and hand towels. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Chic and definitely trendy. Loved the decor, the business center was incredible-- private rooms, beautiful lounging area. Full service kitchen with coffee machines. Absolutely perfect for meeting clients and working all day with some closed door privacy as well. The rooms were amazing-- the chilled water in the fridge in jugs vs. single use plastic was much appreciated.

We arrived on Christmas and were upgraded to a 1BR unit. The apartment was spacious and clean. The amenities are very nice. The gym is well appointed with nice machines and there is also an area called The Study which would be a great conference/work space. We weren’t there long, just one night but would stay again. The interior of the historic Book Cadillac is beautiful. I’d come back if traveling to downtown Detroit.

Rain forest shower head is awful. Zero water pressure. No towel hook near the shower, it’s across the room by the washer and dryer. The floors in the entire are frozen. Especially on the bathroom. Only 2 towels in the room. Should have 4 or more. Only 1 luggage rack. Where am I supposed to put my luggage, on the floor? Horrible coffee system. Wayyyy too much effort. Put a kourig in there like every other upscale hotel. The room is quite noisy. The “People Mover” whirs by constantly, and the appliances in the room all make noises. The furniture is pretty, but extremely uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. There should be a night stand on both sides of the bed. The TV should be against the blank wall, instead of covering the window. Nice place, but for the upscale price, we didn’t receive an upscale room. Try harder to get the little things right!
