We had just come of a 15 day safari and just wanted to chill out. Limbo Lodge is affordable and the staff will look after you very well. It is not perfect with a few things to be fixed but it has the warmth of a home. The food was simple but freshly cooked and hot. The choices weren't big but ok. My partner had lived in Livingstone 50 years ago and he and his sister were on a reminiscing journey, so we didn't want anything fancy. Limbo Lodge was just the right place to stay for us. Thank you to all the staff at Limbo Lodge for making our stay enjoyable.

The staff at Ngoma Zanga go above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable. They even made breakfast early one morning so we could eat before we went on an excursion. The pool was right behind our room and great on hot days. The room was clean and lots of towels were provided. The decor in the hotel is lovely as are the staff. One of the ladies even used my scarf to make a head wrap for me. That was fun. I always felt safe in the walled and gated hotel. They will be adding a restaurant and bar soon. Thanks Sonella and staff for a great stay.

We stayed for one night after flying into Lusaka en route to Liningtone. Staff were freindly and helpful, breakfast was good (we were too tired to bother with dinner). Everything was clean and tidy. Internet worked ok near reception. We would stay again.

We experienced amazing service from the owner. Our booking had somehow gone wrong and they were not expecting us. The place was full but we were lodged at a neighbouring luxury lodge for the night and then upgraded to a luxury river tent for the duration of our stay. WOW!!!
The camp is older and it seems to be in the process of some needed upgrades. It has a lovely big swimming pool, large restaurant/bar area overlooking the river. We did not eat there as the prices were beyond our budget. Their coffee was the best in Zambia!
Lots of hippos in the river. Baboons and monkeys constantly in camp are fun but absolutely no food can be left anywhere. They were well mannered though and we had no hassles with the. Elephants walk through on their way to the river and the best is the resident bushbuck family.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay there.

Well, what can I say about Mushroom Lodge. My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights in October 2014. From the prices we had seen for other lodges in the area, we weren't expecting much for Mushroom as it was a fraction of the price!!
We were pleasantly surprised!! We had a wonderful stay. As we were the only guests staying at the lodge for 6 out of our 8 nights, we had the VIP treatment. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Any request we had, was promptly seen too.
Food wasn't fantastic, but it was good. Very large portions too. Amazing views from our chalet and the pool. WiFi connection was poor.
Again, as we were the only guests, we had private drives twice a day. We had the 'Dream Team' in James and Samson. They were amazing guides, able to spot a leopard, lying in a tree, 50 or so meters away in the dark - they were that good! They were very knowledgeable, knew all the good spots to go to, to find whatever it was that we wanted to see.
Cannot recommend Mushroom Lodge highly enough, we will certainly return.
Very attentive staff, great location, good facilities.
