Lovely room, two seater tub with rain shower complete with a comfy robe to wear made me think I was visiting a spa. There's a Resturant and a Pub(no kids but u can order and take it to your room). The mini fridge held all our travel food so nothing spoiled and we slept soundly.

Dawson City is a nice small town, but it looks like a very depressed area, many businesses are closed. Many of the buildings are painted in themes and look like I expected Dawson to look like. There are only a few choices for dinner, but the food is good and reasonably priced.
We went over the Top Of The World highway and are very glad we brought our SUV instead of our car. The road was gravel starting 3 or 4 miles on the west side of the river, but was well maintained on the Cadadian side of the boarder. On the US side, after about 13 miles of paved road the road was one big pothole with a few smooth sections; but we saw a lot of beautiful country and I'm glad we took it.

I transit between Inuvik, NWT and Whitehorse in the Yukon at least 3-4 times yearly and always stay on Dawson on way south and back north. This as my first stay at Aurora Inn and it will be my number stay in Dawson City moving forward. The cleanliness is simply incredible for a place located in the north. The owner and staff members are simply so giving and friendly.
