I loved my recent stay at the K&K Hotel Elisabeta in Bucharest. I initially liked the pictures of the hotel and the fact it was not on a busy main street. My like for the hotel grew the longer I stayed. Yes, a little off the beaten track, but only by about 1 block. I found the hotel central to everything I wanted to see and do in Bucharest without being in the hustle and bustle of too busy a location. The staff was pleasant, courteous, and attentive. Everybody I met from the Hotel Elisabeta spoke more than adequate english and they answered my many requests and questions with ease. All and all a very pleasurable stay. I would stay again and highly recommend that others enjoy this little gem of a hotel in Bucharest.

The hotel is placed in a nice location, close to the harbor, restaurants and beach (10-15 min walking). It has been (recently) renovated, but from some strange reasons it has remained unfinished (the façade and the balconies have not been renovated for example). The walls are very thin and you can easily be disturbed by the noise from the other rooms. My room was good and it had a nice view to the sea. Unfortunately I noticed the balcony that was really old, dirty and left in the same state for ... many years. The breakfast is decent, as expected for a 3 stars hotel: coffee, friend/ boiled eggs, ham, few types of cheese, vegetables, butter and jam, coffee and few types of tea, one type of juice and water, some fruits and a cake. The personnel is polite and accommodating. The buffet lunch is definitely a plus and I had it included in the package. It had a good assortment and the food was fresh and tasty. As an overview, a good option for a short stay (in my case), even if I had a strange feeling that something was missing (incomplete renovation, maybe).

My wife and me spent a weekend in this sort of new hotel. We enjoy our stance. The rooms are ample. Staff people are friendly, and much of the services are very good. The breakfast and the wifi conections were beyond our expectations. We like to prepare some food for ourselves; then because this hotel has kitchen commodities we decided to book there. Unfortunately when you leave, the refrigerator stops working because the electricity is cut in your room when you take your key/card off. So, if you leave for the whole day, no way to keep your food fresh.
If you are not thinking in using refrigerator, the rest of the services are ok. Is much what you receive for the price you are paying to stay there.

Overall the hotel is great, the only few issues I had is that they seem to cater more to weddings and conferences - parking was an issue during these times. Also I found that the food variety varies depending whether a conference occurs while you are there. The staff in the morning at the breakfast need to loosen up a bit and try to portrait a happier demeanor, not very friendly in my opinion. The room was clean and well equipped, over all is a good hotel.

I spent 2 nights in this hotel being in a business trip in Cluj-Napoca. The room was spacious, clean and had ergonomic furniture. Very interesting lights under the bed :-). The breakfast is a little bit more than the usual buffet breakfasts at same kind of hotels, or at least this was my impression. If you get an executive room then you can use the executive lunge at 4th floor which gives some extra goodies throughout the day, like free food and drinks :-)
