You have to remember this hotel is in the Caribbean! So weather conditions can be extreme and are constantly challenging the infrastructure. But that said, the staff keep the place very clean and tidy but the paths are pretty uneven and there is s lot of walking involved to get from one part of the hotel the another. Probably the most annoying is the car park which you have to walk down a very poor road to, but keeping cars away does keep the noise down and makes the site safer for children. The rooms are lovely, very spacious, very comfortable beds and pillows, good black-out curtains, good shower and effective AC.
The location of the hotel is on a beautiful little beach, very safe bathing, again very clean with comfortable sun loungers. This side of the island is really lovely, very unspoilt, Deshaises, nearby, has many good restaurants and the beaches are really good.
The hotel is very nice but the bar could do with a serious revamp. Some of the staff were lovely but others were clearly just tolerating us and we never saw a manager and the whole place appeared to be run by students!
We only had breakfast there which was ok for a large hotel but could be better.
Overall, I would recommend it and I would go back.
Guadeloupe is a beautiful island, well worth visiting with surprisingly good roads. I would suggest a car is essential is you want to make the most of your stay.
