"Beautiful views, a short walk from a great beach"
My two grown daughters and I spent two nights here, eating dinner in Deshaies one night and at HGA's restaurant the second night. Both meals were fantastic; and the service at HGA was top notch. We had adjoining rooms with a shared terrace that looked out across the grounds and to the ocean. Beautiful and peaceful! Highly touted Plage de Grande Anse is about a half-mile walk from the property -- it is a beautiful beach for walking, swimming, or hanging out and having a drink or meal (several beachfront restaurants). Deshaies is only a mile or two from HGA -- very easy to get to, and lots of restaurant and shopping choices when you get there. Highly recommend!

I really liked this place. The location was unbeatable if you just want to relax and get away. Staff is just a husband and wife (and baby) who live onsite and are super nice and helpful. I would absolutely go back to this place and recommend it to others.

"Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming."
We arrived after a long day of travel and were greeted warmly right away. They had an english-speaking staff member who was very helpful and showed us to our bungalow. We had a private veranda with a beautiful view (once the sun came up the next day), a nice room with a mini fridge and a safe and an air conditioner. The room was cleaned daily. The included breakfast was wonderful and a great touch--eggs, bacon, sausage, cured meats and cheese, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread for toast, cereal and of course coffee. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. One night we decided to eat dinner at the hotel. There was a prix fixe menu available but my boyfriend and I are pescatarian and the main course was pork. No problem! Dinner was fabulous (and it was a huge amount of food), with a giant portion of fish steak (maybe swordfish?) instead of the pork. Overall the food was great, if a little pricey (not too bad, really). The drinks from the bar were also great--the house cocktail, the Rayon Vert, is green and delicious and HUGE. The pool was clean, beautiful and was a great place to hang out when we weren't sure what the weather was going to do. Massages are available in your room or in the little gazebo next to the pool. Overall, we had a really great experience. At about 10 minutes drive from Deshaies, a car is a must.

"Scenic location, set on two wonderful beaches"
Very scenic location, set on two beautiful beaches (though one not suitable for swimming due to strong currents). A further two even more fantastic beaches nearby- Plage La Perle and Grand Anse. Both breathtaking and can be reached on foot via paths through the rainforest. Need a car to explore. Staff friendly and helpful, speaking good English and French. Facilities average with a hut for water sports, tennis court, games area and small gift shop. Only one restaurant on site, with buffet dinners that get repetitive. The Creole Sunday Brunch is buffet style again, but recommended. The hotel is both base camp and some times location for the tv series Death in Paradise, and you may spot the odd character walking the grounds! Rooms often not made up until 3pm. Could improve service offering by holding weekly management parties, and a Friday night barbecue by the large open space outside the restaurant would also liven things up. Guests a good mix across all age groups, families and couples.

The hotel location is really good with beautiful beaches around. All the staff members were very nice. The swimming pool is lovely as the breakfast area from where you have a wonderful view on the sea. The room was a bit disapointing though: the bed was not comfortable with some stains on the bed sheet and cover, and the kitchen utensils were out of age. We also had to pay cleaning fees which was not mentioned when we booked.

"Clean, well-maintained, good value, great location"
My husband and I stayed at Caraibes Royal for 8 days on our holiday to Guadeloupe. We knew that the accommodation was self-catering (and thanks to reviews on here had packed washing-up liquid and a tea towel). The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. There was an outside kitchenette area (no oven, but good electric hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, crockery (no bowls), cutlery, pans etc.) and dining area. Inside the living area was spacious (TV, only in French, didn't use) and the bathroom was clean and functional, with a good supply of hot water. The staff were friendly and although not all of them spoke English we didn't have any problems - they spoke enough or there was someone else on duty (we realised early on on our holiday that our French was not good enough for the area in general!). The welcome book/info in the apartment was all in French, so our dictionary came in handy.

"Spotless safe accessible "
Point d'argent is a lovely fishing one horse village. Easy walk over hill to beach easy drive to Deshaies or point noir. Clean pool, hot tub, quiet. No breakfast or coffee and none in town, no way to cook in room. Good meal provided if ordered in evening. No fresh towels, hard to dry them in damp weather, no wash clothes. Lovely facilities, very thoughtful wheel chair accessibility. I would return in an instant.

Deshaies is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Deshaies, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Deshaies hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
