Good hotel, luxury setting, however it is in the middle of nowhere therefore you need a car to explore any local towns e.g obidos or peniche. Generally in a really beautiful area though and although it was off season the beach is untouched and great for walking - long stretch.
One bed was lumpy - reported it to reception and they remarked it may have been the mattress topper, and told me they would change it. Later on when checked it was not changed, although the lumps were less - I expect they tried to fluff it out. I slept on the other bed but I told them again when I left that they need to change it for the next people. Food was really good at the hotel, make sure you book in advance for the restaurant (remember it is in the middle of nowhere) and it can get full; we had to go to the club house for dinner one night. This however was probably one of the best meals at the resort - had to wait about 45 mins for our food but you can tell they made it from scratch and completely fresh.
Generally a good stay, bar lack of activities (except golf). Might be different in season. If you like golf you would love it.
