In fairness, this was partly Orbitz's fault. We arrived very late at night with our 6 year old to find that the hotel had cancelled our reservation. They said our card was declined several times (Orbitz charged our card when we made the booking), they had no other rooms, and when we asked the desk attendant to help us find something else she refused. Of the cancellation, she said this is something that happens with third party vendors. What I don't understand is why no one got in touch with me. The hotel could see that we were trying to make a reservation so they should have reached out to us or Orbitz and someone should have told us that our room was not booked BEFORE we arrived at 1am. So, in short, I have no idea how this hotel is.
